The purpose of The Platinum Hood Awards is to bring the music industry to Central Texas. The mission is to allow southern artists to network with key industry people, promote upcoming projects and create a fan base from all over the state! TPHA was founded in 2007 by Stanley Cobble and its board is made up of music execs, radio personalities and retail personnel. Based in Austin Stanley Cobble has been in the music business for over 20 years promoting national Platinum artists and Comedians like the original 2 Live Crew, JT Money, Lil Troy, Chalie Boy, Hi- Five, H -Town, Swisha House, Freestyle Kingz, DSR, Ray Cash, Comedians AJ Johnson, Bruhman and Big Dre as well as play writer John Ruffin to name a few. This event will take place annually allowing urban acts that otherwise gets over looked, an opportunity to be highlighted and possibly signed.
